Miles Away From Simone Biles, Husband Jonathan Owens Gets Fans’ Support for Wholesome Venture: “So Thoughtful”

Distance, distance, distance—it feels like an uphill battle! But despite the miles between them, Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens are a shining example that love can stand the test of time, no matter how busy life gets. Since tying the knot in April last year, they’ve had to juggle their careers—Biles with her gymnastics fame and Owens as a safety for the Chicago Bears.

Even with their plates full, they manage to keep their marriage in tip-top shape. This year, Jonathan Owens continued his tradition of giving back by partnering with the K.W.O.E. Foundation for his third annual Thanksgiving Holiday Drive. The event, held at the BBF Center For The Arts, saw Owens signing autographs for fans and, alongside other volunteers, distributing meals and gifts to 500 families.

Meanwhile, while Simone was celebrating Simone Biles Rising winning a Critics Choice Award for Best Sports Documentary, Jonathan was showing his love in a different way—dedicating his time to supporting the community in Chicago. He shared a series of pictures on his Instagram from the event, showing him and volunteers handing out large bags filled with donations and captioning them, “It’s a blessing to be a blessing.”

Owens could have easily spent this time with Simone, who had just wrapped up her Gold Over America tour, but instead, he chose to roll up his sleeves and get involved. It’s clear he is dedicated to making a difference, showing that giving back is as important as any personal achievement. While Simone was celebrating her own success, Jonathan was busy spreading holiday cheer, proving that love isn’t just about the good times together but also about supporting each other’s goals and uplifting the community, and this makes their fans prouder.

Fans are going wild over Jonathan Owens’ and Simone Biles big move

Simone Biles and Jonathan

One fan said, “Blessings on blessings,” and another chimed in with, “This is powerful, Jowen!” But let’s be clear—Jonathan Owens isn’t just Simone Biles’ husband; he’s got his own story. Jonathan Owens entered the NFL in 2018 when he signed with the Arizona Cardinals. However, his rookie season was plagued by a knee injury.

In 2019, the Houston Texans signed him to their practice squad, and by January 2020, he had earned a reserve/future contract with the team. But beyond being married to one of the greatest Olympic gymnasts ever, Owens is a pro athlete too. In 2024, the 29-year-old joined the Chicago Bears on a two-year contract. Pretty impressive, right?

Fans are definitely excited about Jonathan Owens being a Bear! One wrote, “So happy you’re a Bear 🐻⬇️💙🧡,” while another said, “So thoughtful of you, to think of others. Let’s Go Bears!” Another fan chimed in with, “Thank you for your off the field contributions to our great city! We appreciate you.” It’s clear that Jonathan has a lot of support, but while he’s making his mark on the field, Simone Biles is making waves in the stands, too.

Even though the Bears lost to the Patriots 19-3, Simone, on November 11, still managed to steal the spotlight. With white skinny jeans, a white Bottega Veneta Cassette bag, and stylish heeled boots, she complemented a custom sweater from Distressed Merch 1of1, which featured Jonathan’s jersey number, the Bears’ logo, and his last name, striking the perfect balance between fashion and team pride.

This isn’t the first time Simone has turned heads with her game-day outfits—last season, when Jonathan was with the Houston Texans, she wore a custom tee by the same brand. Fans couldn’t help but gush over how stylish and supportive she is, and now everyone is looking forward to seeing what the duo will venture into next!

USA Olympic Star Suni Lee Announced as SI Swimsuit’s Newest Athlete for 2025 Magazine

U.S. Olympic gymnast Suni Lee will take part in the 2025 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition, the magazine announced on Monday.

“We are thrilled to launch our shoot season for the 2025 issue with an extraordinary lineup of powerful female athletes,” SI Swimsuit editor-in-chief MJ Day said in a statement. “This remarkable group, featuring Olympic medalists, world champions, and record holders, embodies the next generation of all-stars poised to transform the world of sports. They defy stereotypes and champion equality, inspiring young girls to envision themselves as both athletes and leaders. At SI Swimsuit, we’ve always celebrated the future of women, and there’s no better way to honor these remarkable achievements than by featuring them on the pages of our issue.”

Lee, 21, has won two gold medals in her career—the first came at the individual all-around competition at the 2020 Tokyo Games (held in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic), while the second was in the team competition during this summer’s Paris Games. She also took home a silver (team) and bronze medal (uneven bars) in the 2020 Games and two bronze medals (all-around, uneven bars) in Paris.

She is already one of the most decorated gymnasts in United States history and will join a number of athletes—including sprinter Gabby Thomas, skier Eileen Gu and golfer Nelly Korda—in this year’s Swimsuit edition.

There are very few courses around the world where Tiger Woods has not been dominant. His exhilarating strokeplay at the Pebble Beach, Torrey Pines, the Augusta, and many other have always mesmerized the fans.

But then there are some courses that are forever cursed for the former world no. 1. One of them being the Riviera Country Club; the home of The Genesis Invitational. Tiger Woods record at the California-based venue is horrendous, to say they least. But it’s not the same for a fellow athlete from a different world.

Walker Buehler vs. Tiger Woods

Former Dodgers’ pitcher, Walker Buehler was interviewed on Golf’s Subpar’s podcast as the group discussed his exploits on the course. The 30-year-old shared his various adventures in golf as he played across the country for his team. That is when he talked about one particular location that is close to the baseballers heart, the Riviera Country Club. Beuhler shared how he loved the golf course and often visited it with his friends and associates.

To the surprise of many, Buehler was able to equal the 62-stroke final round record at the venue. Held by Hideki Matsuyama since the 2024 Genesis Invitational, Buehler casually equalled the record during one of his visits to the course.

Walker Buehler and Hideki Matsuyama’s record is one that seems be impossible to achieve for Tiger Woods. Despite an illustrious career of 82 PGA Tour wins, Woods has still not won The Genesis Invitational even once. Considered a hometown event for the golf legend, Woods has admitted that the course has never favored him throughout his career. Speaking about why he is unable to deliver at the location, he said, “I have traditionally not putted well here. I’ve driven it well here… my iron game has been pretty good, but I have never really gotten hot with the putter at this course.

Having heard it from the legend himself, it will be interesting to check his numbers at the Los Angeles course.

Tiger Woods at the Riviera Country Club

Tiger Woods

Speaking of his overall record at the Riviera Country Club, Woods has played here 14 times in total. He has only managed one runners-up finish so far along with 3 more Top-10s. He has a total of 8 finishes in the top-25 and he didn’t make the cut 3 times. He has withdrawn from the tournament twice, including the most recent withdrawal in the 2024 Genesis Invitational. His best score at the venue is 64 (7-under par 71) and he has shot 65 on three other occasions.

It’s safe to say that the Riviera Country Club is not the most appealing golf course for Tiger Woods. But despite is consistent failure to achieve success here, he has still managed to add a lot of trophies to his cabinet. With a few years still left for him to retire, do you think Tiger Woods would break the streak and finally win at the Riviera Country Club in the future? Share your views in the comments section!

Tiger Woods makes thoughts on himself clear as he names his Mount Rushmore of golf

Tiger Woods has had his say on the greatest-ever golfers.

You don’t win 15 major championships while being short on self-confidence. And although Tiger Woods might no longer exert the dominance on the golf course that he did during his peak years, the sporting icon is clearly not shy when rating his achievements.

As well as his major haul, bettered by only Jack Nicklaus who has 18, the 48-year-old has numerous professional records to his name.

From June 2005 to October 2010 he was ranked as the world No.1 for an unprecedented 281 consecutive weeks, and his total of 82 PGA Tour wins is matched only by the legendary Sam Snead.

His career prize money falls just short of the £93million mark, more than any other PGA or European Tour player in history. And while amid his long-term injury problems he’s unlikely to significantly boost his incredible numbers before he finally retires, his standing among the game’s all-time greats is not up for dispute.

It’s no wonder that Woods isn’t afraid to name himself when pressed on his ‘Mount Rushmore’ of golf. The term refers to the giant sculpture in South Dakota, which contains the granite faces of former US presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln.

In sport, the site is traditionally mentioned when people are pressed to name their four greatest of all time. And Woods was asked just that in a promotional video for the Team USA Ryder Cup team ahead of their bid to regain the trophy in 2025.

“What’s my Mount Rushmore of golf?” Woods said, repeating the question he’d been asked. “Well, probably Sam Snead, Bobby Jones, Jack Nicklaus…….me.”

Tiger Woods

Despite the lack of modesty, few fans will argue with the decision of Woods to include himself. Naming Nicklaus was also inevitable, while the inclusion of Snead and Jones, who won 13 amateurs between them, will please the more nostalgic followers.

Since his high-speed car crash in February 2021, which left Woods needing multiple surgeries for injuries in both legs, he’s played in eight major events. And despite only making the cut in three of them, with a best finish of 47th at the 2022 US Masters, he still insists he has the self-belief to win tournaments.

Prior to the Open Championship at Royal Troon, he insisted he was not just there to make up numbers. “I’ll play as long as I can play and I feel like I can still win the event,” he said.

And prior to his fabled return to Augusta two years ago, he declared “I still believe I can” when asked if he had any hope of repeating his remarkable 2019 triumph. He’s now played 95 major events, and has outlined his ambition to reach three figures as he continues to hone his schedule around the season’s four biggest tournaments.

Simone Biles and Husband Jonathan Owens Gifted Personalized Jerseys During Date Night at Chicago Bulls Game

The couple received bright red jerseys featuring their last names in black letters above the number 36 — which is also Owens’ number in the NFL

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens look closer than ever following star’s bittersweet week

Simone Biles shared a kiss with her husband

Simone Biles is keeping busy now that her Gold Over America tour is over, as she’s prioritizing spending time with her husband Jonathan Owens. The gymnast took a trip over to Chicago especially for an adorable date night.

Jonathan and Simone were spotted courtside as the Chicago Bulls played against the Minnesota Timberwolves at the United Center. The Chicago Bears safety put an arm around his wife as she leaned in close, clearly relishing the time they shared together after weeks of traveling.

She wore classic Chicago Bulls colors: a pair of red hot knee high boots and a black leather bomber jacket, as well as a quilted Chanel handbag for a touch of luxury. Meanwhile, Jonathan opted for an opposite vibe of a cream jacket over a white shirt with neutral-toned pants.

As if courtside tickets weren’t enough of a luxury, the couple were blessed to receive personalized Chicago Bulls jerseys with the number 36 on both; they smiled as they flashed the shirts at the camera, clearly happy.

They then shared an intimate moment as they kissed in front of the camera, showing that they were still going strong despite previous distances between them.

It was certainly an emotional week for Simone, who said a tearful goodbye to her teammates as her national tour finished on November 3. She shared a number of selfies from the airport, as she shed some tears while holding a mimosa.

While she has been traveling the country, Jonathan moved from their Texas home to the windy city, as the season started on September 8.

Despite the long distance between them, the couple have supported each other throughout over the past months and made a number of trips across the country to see each other.

Jonathan visited during his Bye Week, with the gymnast sharing a number of PDA-filled photos as they enjoyed some quality time. Prior to that, he surprised her with roses for a spontaneous trip.

Meanwhile, Simone visited him on September 29 when the Chicago Bears played — and beat the Los Angeles Rams.

Jonathan said of her visit: “She has a tour stop here that evening at 7. Literally perfect. So, she can come to the game at 12 and then boom, I’ll get to go watch her at 7. Pretty dope turnaround.”

“I just don’t know if I have the confidence”

Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese is one of the new faces of women’s basketball.

As such, fans are always looking forward to scoops on what’s going on in Reese’s personal life, as basketball stars have become celebrities both on and off the court. To connect more with fans, Reese started her own podcast, Unapologetically Angel.

In the show’s latest episode, Reese sat down what celebrity stylist Law Roach, and the topic of dating shorter men, like a-list actress Zendaya’s high-profile relationship with Spiderman co-star Tom Holland, came up.

“I love Zendaya’s confidence,” Reese stated.

“But I just don’t know if I have the confidence to date a man shorter than me.”

She went on to explain: “In my world, it is uncommon. Like, as an athlete, it’s kind of uncommon.”

“But you never know, you may fall in love with a short king,” Roach said.

“My short king might be out there,” Reese responded. “I’m waiting for you; I’m looking for you.”

“Well I have a chance,” one person on Twitter convinced himself.

“Why would she bring up Tom and Zendaya height difference to their close friend,” one fan said, noting Roach’s relationship with Holland and Zendaya.

It’ll be interesting to see if Reese ever decides to go public with a shorter guy.

Major decision on Anthony Joshua vs Dubois rematch revealed

Anthony Joshua‘s much-anticipated rematch with Daniel Dubois has been cast into doubt following his decision to delay his return to the ring.

Still reeling from his September knockout loss to Dubois before a record crowd of 96,000 at Wembley, the 35-year-old heavyweight ace has yet to secure a date for his comeback.

The defeat saw Joshua miss a chance to reclaim the IBF heavyweight title, and fans have been eagerly awaiting details of a rematch, initially expected to take place either in the UK or Saudi Arabia.

A tentative date of February 22 had been proposed, with boxing promoter Turki Alalshikh backing the event and Dubois keen to defend his title as soon as possible. However, Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn has dampened hopes for an early 2025 clash, suggesting that Joshua isn’t likely to return until next summer. Responding to a fan query on Instagram, Hearn said, “He had five fights in 18 months, he will be fine. Back in the summer.”

The delay has put Dubois’ plans in flux, as he remains eager to stay active. Dubois’ promoter Barry Hearn expressed doubts over an immediate rematch, stating, “I don’t see (AJ) happening next. We’re looking at other options, and we’ll make a decision soon.” Hearn added that Dubois is likely to seek other opponents if Joshua remains unavailable: “We’re in the Daniel Dubois business. He’s the champion, and he wants to be back in the ring by February.”

For now, the future remains uncertain, and fans await confirmation of who will be next to challenge the IBF titleholder.

Deontay Wilder’s trainer labels upcoming title unification fight as a ‘mismatch’

We have become accustomed to Deontay Wilder taking the headlines, however on this occasion, his trainer, Malik Scott, is the one taking the limelight.

It is just two weeks until WBA cruiserweight champion Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez faces off against WBO champion Chris ‘The Gentleman’ Billam-Smith in a unification clash out in Saudi Arabia, in the next instalment of ‘Riyadh Season’.

Scott is a trainer of Ramirez and will be there on the night to assist lead trainer Julian Chau.

After suffering the first defeat of his career to Dmitry Bivol in 2022, Ramirez has since moved up from light heavyweight to pursue a career in the cruiserweight division.

Now two fights in and having picked up the WBA strap last time out against Arsen Goulamirian, ‘Zurdo’ is looking to unify and set up a potential clash against Jai Opetaia.

His opponent, ‘CBS’ is in red-hot form.

After defeating former stablemate, now turned heavyweight, Lawrence Okolie, to become WBO champion, he has since defended his title against Mateusz Masternak and Richard Riakporhe.

Significantly, the victory against Riakporhe avenged the only defeat of his career to date.

Speaking to BoxingScene, ‘Zurdo’s’ trainer Scott has dismissed claims that this fight could be a 50:50.

“I had Zurdo for his fight with Joe Smith, and he did well. No disrespect to Billam-Smith, but this fight is a mismatch.”

Scott went on to explain why he believes his fighter is far too-good for his opponent.

“Zurdo is a big, strong southpaw who’s faced tougher opponents than Billam-Smith,” Scott said. “He’s a powerful body puncher with great angles and an incredible boxing mind. Billam-Smith is big and keeps coming forward, but he’s a one-trick pony.”

He did credit Billam-Smith’s trainer, but he went on to explain how this fight will play out and what will be next in his career.

“He has a good trainer, but I think Zurdo takes over in the second half,” Scott said. “Zurdo has a dream team in his corner. I believe he’ll become undisputed champion, with Jai Opetaia as his only real challenge.”

Malik Scott believes strongly that his man will win the fight and win it in impressive style.

However, with ‘The Gentleman’ on such a significant win streak, this fight may turn out to be much tougher than he is expecting.

Serena Williams’ Daughter Olympia Meets Simone Biles in Sweet New Photo, Thanks Her for ‘Absolutely Making Her Month’

Serena Williams’ daughter already has one foot inside the Olympic world!

On Sunday, Oct. 15, the retired tennis pro’s husband and Reddit cofounder Alexis Ohanian, 41, shared a carousel of photos of the couple’s daughter Olympia, 7, on Instagram as she met Olympic gymnast Simone Biles at the Gold Over America Tour.

Olympia was all smiles in the pics as she sported pink pants and a matching pink sweater as she stood with Biles, who wore a gold leotard and placed an arm around Olympia.

The young gymnastics fan also posed for a photo with Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles, with the two holding up peace signs as they smiled for the picture. A repost of Biles’ Instagram Stories was also included, which had a photo of Olympia, Williams and Ohanian alongside Biles, Chiles and others.

“I had to take S & Jr to see @simonebiles’ Gold Over America Tour. Packed house. Awesome night. Don’t miss it if they’re coming to your town. 🥇🥇🥇,” Ohanian wrote in his caption.

“And thank you Simone and @jordanchiles for absolutely making Olympia’s MONTH 🥞 I bought all the merch I could and even tried making this morning’s pancake look like Olympia in one of her new leotards – sorry babygirl, photorealism is hard 😆😆 and the batter was too runny today.”

Serena Williams and Simone Biles

Williams and Ohanian are parents to daughters Olympia and Adira, 14 months.

Speaking to Glamour for a recent article, the mom of two opened up about her decision to have a cesarean section when welcoming daughter Adira. Although she said she wouldn’t miss giving birth naturally, she admitted that a part of her was sad to not go through the experience again.

Of giving birth naturally, Williams said, “Looking back, I’ll never have that moment again. For whatever weird reason, that kind of makes me a little sad, but that’s probably a party of one.”

“This time I went in with a plan. I like to say I put my best effort out there, and this was no different,” she said of welcoming Adira. “I literally thought about it as a Grand Slam: ‘How can I succeed?’ ”

Speaking to PEOPLE in May, Ohanian shared that he’s excited to see his younger daughter start to get her footing, noting it’s “fun because she’s getting more mobile.”

“She’s able to have a lot more fun with her sister in terms of playing. You can already see the interactions between them. It’s a big age gap, and Olympia has a little bit of that maternal spirit. She’s like, ‘This is my baby,’ and it’s great to see them together,” Ohanian shared.

“They play and sort wrestle and all that. We’re very lucky because Adira’s got a great personality and Olympia does too, plus she’s so excited to be a big sis. So seeing the two of them interact with each other has been a special kind of fun. Adira’s getting more mobile and more vocal, and it’s only going to get even more fun.”

He joked, “I guess at some point they’re going to fight over things, but for now, let me live in bliss.”
