A massive void was created in the coaching staff of Iga Swiatek after the Polish star announced the end of her partnership with Tomasz Wiktorowski, her fellow countryman. Despite working for years together and finding immense success, the end was imminent with Swiatek losing her form. While announcing this change, Swiatek also revealed that she is looking at a foreign coach to replace Wiktorowski. However, with the search continuing, a shocking name has emerged as Swiatek’s potential next coach.

According to several reports, it is rumored that Swiatek will be coached by the likes of Tomek Moczek and Dawid Celt, who also happens to be the husband of the former World Number 2, Agnieszka Radwańska. Additionally, Celt is also the captain of the Polish team for the Billie Jean King Cup Finals. But if Celt works with Swiatek at the WTA Finals in Riyadh, he could face a major scheduling hurdle, with the Billie Jean King Cup Final not far away. While the WTA Finals ends on November 9, the BJK Cup Final commences on November 13.

“I am currently in initial talks with non-Polish coaches as I prepare to take the next step in my career. I’ll update you once I’ve made my choice,” Swiatek said while announcing her separation from Wiktorowski. Among the possible names that resurfaced to replace Wiktorowski were the likes of Brad Gilbert and Wim Fissette, who are Coco Gauff and Naomi Osaka’s ex-coaches, respectively. However, with the search going on, the rumors suggest Swiatek might appoint Tomek Moczek or Dawid Celt as her interim coach for this season.

Many tennis experts have expressed concerns about how things ended between Swiatek and Wiktorowski. Despite a successful partnership, it was a sudden end, which not many would have foreseen. In addition to that, a Polish tennis expert also expressed concerns about Swiatek’s game.

Iga Swiatek

Tennis expert calls the game of Iga Swiatek as ‘One Dimensional’

While there is no doubt that Swiatek has been a force to reckon with on clay courts, her game drops on the hard and grass courts. Interestingly, she has won 4 clay-court Grand Slam titles and just a solitary hard-court major title. She hasn’t been able to get beyond the quarterfinals at the Wimbledon Championships, highlighting her struggles on grass. As a result, tennis expert, Tomasz Wolfke, expressed concern about her game.

Wolfke said, “We don’t really know what happened in this team, but three years of cooperation in tennis is such a completely normal period, and during this period Iga and Tomek achieved stunning success together. However, recently there have been reservations about Iga’s playing style. I even always said in an open text that her tennis is too one-dimensional, but you can’t have a grudge against her either, because there is also a tennis school that says that we practice painfully what we do best and beat everyone with these two or three strokes, just like in the case of Iga.”

Amid these turbulent times, Swiatek will look to come back strongly as she aims to win back-to-back WTA Finals titles. She has skipped the Asian Swing of the WTA Tour due to personal reasons and a comeback at the WTA Finals in Riyadh remains likely.

In 2013, 16-year-old Simone Biles made her Gymnastics World Championships debut in Antwerp, Belgium and brought home her first-ever gold medal. Now, exactly a decade later, she did it again—in the same city and the same venue, but with a lot more hardware under her belt.

On October 4, Biles won her 20th World’s gold medal in Antwerp as Team USA clinched their record-breaking seventh consecutive title. Her podium finish at the 2023 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships at age 26 makes her the oldest US woman to earn any World’s medal, according to NBC Sports.

The event also marks a comeback for Biles: Her appearance in Belgium is her first international competition in two years. She withdrew from the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 due to the “twisties”—a potentially dangerous mind-body disconnect in which gymnasts lose spatial awareness midair—and took the time she needed to recover physically and mentally.

“You kind of have to take that mental break, because if not, obviously, your body will decide for you, and that’s what mine did in Tokyo,” Biles told Inside Gymnastics Magazine about her time off. “It was the worst timing, but I’m very happy what happened just because I got to go and really focus on myself. And I’m still continuing to work on myself.”

During her hiatus from the sport, Biles spoke candidly about her mental health and the importance of prioritizing her emotional well-being. “It’s challenging to talk about how you’re doing mentally since it’s an invisible injury,” she told Good Housekeeping in 2022. “People can’t see it, so it’s harder to understand, but I think that’s why it’s so important we feel empowered to open up about it.”

And she continued to do so even after she announced her comeback this past summer. When asked how she was handling her return to the sport in an Instagram Q&A, she wrote “Lots of therapy,” per People. “I go once a week for almost two hours. I’ve had so much trauma, so being able to work on some of the traumas and work on healing is a blessing.”

While Worlds aren’t over yet—the all-around final will be held on Friday and individual events are scheduled over the weekend—the competition has already been a successful one. Beyond her medal count, Biles has also etched her name in the history books for another reason: In the qualifying rounds on Sunday, Biles became the first woman to land the Yurchenko double pike vault in competition. The incredibly difficult combination—she performed a roundoff to back handspring onto the apparatus, then flipped twice in the air with her body folded and legs straight—will now be called the Biles II. It’s the fifth skill named after her, joining two on floor, one on beam, and an earlier one on vault.

So yes, there may be more records broken and medals won this weekend, but that’s not really the biggest driver for Biles right now.

“I think what success means to me is a little bit different than before, because before, everyone defined success for me, even if I had my own narrative that I wanted,” Biles told Olympics.com before the World Championships. “So, now, it’s just showing up, being in a good head place, having fun out there, and whatever happens, happens.”

It feels like Simone Biles is the greatest at everything. She’s an 11-time Olympic medaling gymnast, and currently the second most decorated female Olympic gymnast. She has a successful Netflix series, Simone Biles Rising, with the second half premiering on October 25. And she has an incredible makeup routine, using a number of tried-and-true products for her skin.

Understandably, when Simone was getting ready to compete at the 2024 Xfinity U.S. Championships in June, folks were obsessed with trying to figure out what products she used. Thankfully, Us Weekly spoke with Simone’s makeup artist Alayza Casey, who broke down her glam routine and revealed what she used to help Simone look camera- and competition-ready.

According to Alayza, one key product she used to prime Simone’s skin for makeup was the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer. Normally priced at $39, Amazon has a great deal for shoppers this Amazon Prime Day. The product is currently 30% off for Prime Day, coming in at just $27.

Simone is far from the only one who loves the product, which has over 500 5-star ratings on Amazon. “My skin loves this moisturizer. Doesn’t clog my pores, seals in moisture and leaves my skin glowing. Just the right size for traveling,” one Amazon reviewer wrote. “Please don’t ever stop selling this moisturizer! I would be lost without it!” another added.

In addition to the moisturizer, Alayza revealed that she also uses Kiehl’s Avocado Eye Treatment, which is a whopping 40% off for Prime Day, coming in at $22.

Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles are having the time of their lives on the Gold Over America Tour, and they’re serving up new looks while on the road.

During a two-day stop in Boston, the two Houston girls repped their tour stop with some cheeky photos. Biles took to her Instagram Story to share some photos of her and Chiles in custom-made jerseys. Chiles wore a Boston Celtics jersey which had her last name on the back, as well as the number 24. Biles wore a Boston Bruins hockey jersey, which also had her last name on the back, and the number 24. In one particular shot, the two leave little to the imagination.

As fans can imagine, the GOAT Tour has demanded a lot from these Olympians, but they aren’t slowing down anytime soon — on the mat, or on the makeshift runway. On Monday, Oct. 7, Biles and Chiles, along with Texarkana native Joscelyn Roberson channeled Houston native music icon Beyoncé, wearing some “Cowboy Carter”-inspired fits.

Monday was the GOAT Tour’s final night in Boston, and the ladies — along with fellow Olympic gymnasts Hezly Rivera, Brody Malone, Trinity Thomas, and more — are set to deliver a spectacular show of gymnastics and dance tonight in Baltimore, Maryland.

Despite her elite status, things haven’t been easy for Simone Biles. The 7x Olympic champ had to traverse mountains to reach where she is now. And yet, despite her revered position within the community, Biles can’t help but remember the mental toil she had to go through. With her personal experience still fresh in her memory, Biles continues to help others navigate through the maze.

Mental health continues to be a relatively less talked about topic in the world of athletics. Despite many stars suffering from its impacts, the issue is yet to garner widespread attention, but Biles wants to change the narrative.

The Texan recently received a special shoutout from the Child Mind Institute for taking off the lids on discussing mental health. This also provided the most decorated gymnast of all time to once again highlight how standing together is the best way to overcome such troubles. Sharing the original news via a recent Instagram story, Simone Biles underscored the necessity of sticking together. “On this journey together,” wrote the Olympic icon in her IG update. And it looks like setting quite an example on how to handle the inner turmoil.

In a recent survey of 1,000 women by @femalequotient, 63% said they felt more inspired to prioritize their mental health after Simone Biles openly discussed taking time off for her well-being,” reads the original IG post by Child Mind Institute. The post also clarifies that more women are now comfortable talking about their stress as a way to initiate measures to help them cope with the same.

For athletes, being at their peak conditions is a fundamental necessity for success. However, in most cases, the discussion ends with their physical attributes, but Biles is here to change the notion altogether. And she knows where to look at to fathom its depth comprehensively.

Simone Biles looks at her own life to realize the importance of mental health

The 2021 Tokyo Olympics was an event that Simone would rather forget. After a shaky performance at the Japanese capital in the early phases, Simone Biles ultimately pulled out of the team finals, citing her run-in with mental troubles. Attributing her ordeal to “the twisties”, she decided to sit it out. While her family and coach supported her decision, the gymnast was met with severe backlash from the community, who swiftly labeled her a “quitter“.

The experience was harrowing, and Biles still struggles to look at her leotard from the event. “Even touching it is like ugh,” she was heard saying in her Netflix documentary Simone Biles: RISING. Paris was a resounding success, on the other hand, for both Team USA and Simone. But the bitter aftertaste still lingers in her mouth. “I think that was the hardest part after Tokyo – I didn’t trust myself to do gymnastics,” she revealed, acknowledging how the trauma still makes its presence felt.

With that, Simone Biles now wants to ensure others get by with a little help from their close ones. “We think we can do it on our own, but sometimes we just can’t. So use every outlet given to you,” she told Olympics.com right after her fumble in Tokyo. But will her efforts be enough to remove the stigma? Only time will tell.

Simone Biles shared more details behind the calf injury that had her sporting a boot after the 2024 Paris Olympics in a trailer for her upcoming documentary.

Simone Biles’ calf injury was more severe than she led on.

After the Olympic gold medalist’s coach Cecile Landi detailed she had been feeling a “little pain” in her calf during the 2024 Paris Games, a trailer for the upcoming part two of the Simone Biles: Rising documentary reveals it was more distressing behind the scenes.

In one clip, Simone told her coach frantically, “My calf or something just pulled all the way.”

Later, fellow gymnast Aly Raisman detailed in a confessional interview just how bad the pain was for Simone—and why she persevered.

“I asked, ‘How did you do it in so much pain?’” Aly said. “And she said ‘I couldn’t have people tell me I was a quitter again.’”

Despite the injury, Simone managed to nab four medals during competition in Paris—including three gold and one silver. While the trailer further demonstrated that the 27-year-old felt like she had something to prove after pulling out from Tokyo 2020 for suffering from the twisties, she came prepared.

“I’m a lot happier and I chose to do this,” Simone reflected to NBC News in August. “So, at the end of the day, whatever happens, happens. But I’m in a good spot mentally and physically, so you can’t take that away from me.”

simone biles

And while Simone was dealing with physical pain during her performances at the 2024 Olympics—and even sported a boot on her left leg afterward—she had also previously opened up on why she was well equipped to handle it.

“I feel like elite athletes are pretty tough,” she told NBC News. “So, we’re just, through pain or pleasure, we’re ready for whatever.”

As for whether Simone will keep pushing to make it to Los Angeles in 2028? She’d rather you not ask.

“You guys really gotta stop asking athletes what’s next after they win a medal at the Olympics,” Simone told reporters at a press conference during the Paris games. “Let us soak up the moment we’ve worked our whole lives for.”

Still, Simone teased she has no plans to fully retire yet.

“Never say never,” Simone added at the same conference of competing in LA. “The next Olympics is at home, so you just never know.”

Netflix has dropped the trailer for Part 2 of its Simone Biles Rising docuseries, which follows Bile’s journey to the 2024 Paris Olympics where she becomes the most decorated gymnast in history. Part 2 of the docuseries premieres October 25 on Netflix.

The trailer opens with Biles reflecting on how she’s gotten to this point, sharing “With everything that I’ve done and been through, I do feel that it gives me more confidence, but since I am older, I am a little bit more afraid.” She also talks about the stress of an Olympic year and the emotions it brings with it.

Simone Biles: Rising follows Biles and her return to the Olympic stage after withdrawing from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics to focus on her mental health. Since then, she’s put in the work rebuilding her gymnastics from the ground up and she’s ready for this next stage of competition.

Per the description: Part 2 follows Biles “as she competes at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Trials and officially qualifies for the U.S. Olympic Team to her incredible performances in Paris, all the while sharing personal thoughts and moments of her incredible journey to become the most decorated gymnast in history. The episodes provide intimate access to Biles as she captures three gold medals and one silver medal at the Olympic Games Paris 2024.”

The four-episode series is produced by Religion of Sports in association with the Olympic Channel. Gotham Chopra, Ameeth Sankaran, Giselle Parets and Janey Miller executive produce. Kate Walsh will direct.

TENSION AS ; Simone Biles ‘almost had a heart attack’ after husband Jonathan Owens scored first Bears TD of the season

Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens traveled to Paris this summer to watch his wife Simone Biles compete at the Olympics.

On Sunday, it was Biles’ turn to play spectator as the Bears played their season opener at home against the Tennessee Titans. She got a show.

The Bears struggled on offense with rookie Caleb Williams at quarterback and trailed 17-3 early in the third quarter. The Bears forced a Titans punt on Tennessee’s first possession of the second half, setting up Chicago for its first touchdown of the day

Defensive lineman Daniel Hardy broke through the Titans’ line and blocked Ryan Stonehouse’s punt. Owens was there to scoop it up. He picked up the loose ball and returned it 21 yards for a Bears touchdown.

A 17-3 deficit had been cut to 17-10, sending the Solider Field crowd into a frenzy. Biles was watching.

She wrote on social media that she “almost had a heart attack.”

The play sparked a defensive-led Bears’ comeback, as Chicago scored on an interception return for a touchdown that gave them a 24-17 victory.

Biles delivered at the Paris Olympics with four medals, including three golds. Owens was there to share in the medal celebration.

Biles will surely be happy to join in on celebrating Owens’ heroics following his big play on his first day in a Bears uniform after joining Chicago in the offseason.

Who will go with $150 million, Terence Crawford wants to be the next threat to Canelo’s titles

Following Canelo Álvarez’s recent victory by unanimous decision in his fight against Edgar Berlanga (117-110, 118-109, and 118-109) last night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, several boxers have quickly come forward offering themselves as the next challenger for the Mexican.

Even before the fight, there was speculation about who would be next to try to take Canelo’s WBC, WBA, and WBO titles. Much was said about David Benavidez, Oleksandr Usyk, and surprisingly, also Floyd Mayweather.

However, another boxer who was also mentioned as a potential opponent for Canelo, decided to dedicate a few words to the Mexican after his victory, and that boxer is none other than Terence Crawford.

Too close but far enough

The American was present at The Sphere with Turki Alalshikh to attend the highly expected UFC 306, which took place just 3 kilometers away from the T-Mobile Arena.

Both Crawford and Turki Alalshikh took the opportunity to send a message to the three-time undisputed champion: “We want Canelo next, Canelo come on! We are ready. Canelo – Crawford the biggest fight in boxing. Stay ready”.

All about the bag

If there’s one thing most boxers have in common, it’s that they prioritize earning the maximum amount of money from a fight above anything else, which is legitimate, but sometimes prevents fans from seeing the most anticipated matchups. Canelo is an example of this, as he shows by asking for $150 million for that hypothetical fight against Crawford. Saul is aware that he is the one who attracts the crowds, so a financial compensation that matches his status is the least he would expect.

Terence crawford

Terence Crawford is a great fighter, obviously, but he’s three weight divisions below. As I’ve already said, I’ve fought against bigger opponents, fighters in my own weight class, smaller opponents, older ones, and younger ones. In the end, I was born to fight, and I’ll fight anyone, but obviously under terms that suit me best. At this point in my career, I’m always going to take the best fights, but ones that are in my best interest” said Canelo.

Either way, this hypothetical battle is what every boxer fan wants to witness. It is just a matter of money. Will we be able to see this clash of titans?

Dana White laughs off Kendrick Lamar-Terence Crawford UFC goof-up; fans circle back to Bud reference in Drake diss track

The September 14 UFC 306 broadcast featured a seriously hilarious identity crisis goof-up. Boxing world champion Terence Crawford, sitting cageside at The Sphere in Las Vegas, was mistaken for Kendrick Lamar and publicly addressed as the “Grammy Award & Pulitzer Prize Winning Musician” on live TV.

Viewers quickly jumped on the meme train, unleashing comical responses to the incident on social media. Former UFC champion Aljamain Sterling also participated in the rib-tickling interaction chain, tweeting: “Terence Crawford evolved into Kendrick Lamar tonight.” Bellator Middleweight Champion Johnny Eblen busted a gut watching the mix-up on TV and shared the scene on X: “Yo they mistakenly thought Bud Crawford was Kendrick Lamar (crying emoji).”

Crawford, too, laughed off the erroneous instance on Instagram and showed the rapper some love by tagging him on the screengrab, with Lamar’s diss track against Drake, “Euphoria” playing along. The six-minute rap battle song ironically also name-drops Crawford, as Lamar says: “He’s Terrence Thornton, I’m Terence Crawford, yeah, I’m whoopin’ feat.”

UFC CEO Dana White responds

When asked in a post-event interview if he was expecting a text from Kendrick Lamar and Terence Crawford, UFC CEO Dana White cheekily said that he had spoken to Crawford about the identity crisis blunder.

“That was pretty bad… He did kind of look like Kendrick Lamar… let’s not f**k around,” a flustered White responded while in stitches. “So when I said we had a flawless production tonight, I take that back.”

Netizens react to the Kendrick Lamar-Terence Crawford mix-up

As the TV screengrab spread like wildfire on X, formerly Twitter, Lamar swiftly started trending on the platform. Netizens cracked up, suggesting that someone was definitely getting fired after the major fumble. Some even joked that this “intentional trolling” was pre-planned, considering Lamar referred to himself as Crawford in his Drake diss track earlier this year.

“UFC is forever goated Terrance Crawford shown as Kendrick Lamar They weren’t confused about nothing, yall just don’t listen,” a user quipped.

Another X user echoed the sentiment, “Terence Crawford may not be Kendrick Lamar, but Kendrick Lamar is Terence Crawford

Several others agreed that UFC’s gaffe was “definitely a reference” to Lamar’s “Euphoria.” On the contrary, some questioned, “How can a company as big as The UFC get this one wrong??”

Another person interjected, “Maybe someone thought Terence is real name and Kendrick is his rap name.” Yet another netizen fumed at how people were missing the hilarity of the situation, insinuating it was all part of the plan: “Yall will really deny that grass is green cuz how could this be a mistake?”
