Let forget  his appearance” Joe Joyce Changes His Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois Fight Prediction

Anthony Joshua returns to Wembley Stadium this month to challenge for Daniel Dubois‘ new IBF World Heavyweight Title.

The two Brits have lost to Oleksandr Usyk in recent times but benefitted when he vacated the IBF strap, thus elevated Dubois to full champion and giving this intriguing clash more significance

Few are predicting it will go the distance – the pair have 45 knockouts between them and have each been stopped in at least one of the losses on their records.

In an interview with Queensberry Promotions, Joe Joyce said he was excited for the match-up.

“I think that’ll be a good fight. I’m gonna try and be there or watch it and see who gonna be the winner. It’s a very tasty fight, I like the build-up where Dubois is coming out of his shell and Joshua’s biting back, all that animosity is exciting stuff. Yeah, I can’t wait to see it.”

Joyce beat Dubois for the British, Commonwealth and European Heavyweight titles back in 2020, inflicting such damage on the younger man’s eye that he was forced to take a knee and bow out of the fight. Having also sparred Joshua, he is well-placed to make a prediction.

The 38-year-old said that he was picking ‘AJ’ for the win at first but is now leaning more towards Dubois.

“I was initially edging with Joshua but I don’t know, Dubois is coming on.

There’s also a motive behind the pick…

“It looks better for me. I beat Dubois, he beats Joshua, right?”

Joyce has assured fans he will return to the ring after a points loss to Derek Chisora in July

No Doubt ” Daniel Dubois could end Anthony Joshua’s career in their world title fight at Wembley, says promoter Frank Warren

Anthony Joshua challenges Daniel Dubois for the IBF world heavyweight title at Wembley Stadium on Saturday September 21, Sky subscribers and Non Sky subscribers can now book the fight on Sky Sports Box Office

Daniel Dubois could end Anthony Joshua’s career, suggests promoter Frank Warren ahead of their IBF heavyweight world title showdown.

Warren, who promotes Dubois, believes a crushing loss could send Joshua into retirement.

“It’s how you lose a fight. If he lost the fight convincingly, it would be hard for him to come back if he wanted to carry on,” Warren told Sky Sports News.

“But he could lose a close fight or by a debatable decision. Anything can happen in boxing.”

Though he added: “The pressure is on AJ. He’s the bookmaker’s favourite, the fans’ favourite, and obviously the better known boxer of the two, certainly in the UK. Everything is on him.”

Warren expects his fighter to take advantage of that though. “These are two British guys on a roll, coming off some good wins, although I believe Daniel’s opponents have been superior and better quality than AJ’s,” he said.

“AJ’s got more of the experience but there comes a time in boxing when it’s a young man’s game. I believe this young man [Dubois] is on his game at the moment and I do think he’ll come away as the victor.”

Breaking down the British heavyweight battle

Both fighters are famed for their punch-power. Warren explained what he believes will be decisive in the contest:

“I doubt it will be a draw, because I don’t think it will go the distance. There will be a winner.

“Out of these two guys, it’s hard to differentiate the punch-power. They are both big punchers, both have good jabs.

“It’s going to be who has the better chin. Because one thing is for sure, when they are in the ring, big punchers let their right hand go and they become vulnerable and expose their chin for the counter.

“It’s how who gets caught reacts to that. Whoever gets on the back foot in this fight is not going to win it.

“The guy who is going to win this is the guy who is going to keep pushing his opponent back, and I believe Daniel will be the guy to do that.”

DANIEL DUBOIS wasn’t in the mood for celebrating his birthday, so much so that he lamped a tasty cake with Anthony Joshua’s face on it.

The IBF heavyweight champion celebrated his 27th birthday on Friday with a hard training session under the watchful eye of coach Don Charles.

Charles and the rest of Dubois’ team later broke out into Stevie Wonder’s ‘Happy Birthday’ and presented a cake with the face of upcoming opponent AJ to ‘Triple D’.But Dubois wasn’t in the mood for a singsong, shouting “Stop the music” before punching the tasty-looking cake with his right hand. The softly-spoken but heavy-handed Dubois then roared “This is business.”Charles couldn’t quite believe it, jokingly saying: “Be nice, it’s your birthday.”Footage of Dubiois’ destruction of his birthday cake spread like wildfire on social media.

One boxing fan said of the clip on X: “I’ll give it to Dubois, he’s turned his persona around and now has quite the personality.

Another said: “That’s the closest he’s gonna get, lol.”

And another said: “Dubois has a promising acting career when he retires.”

One remarked: “Might be only 1 he lands b4 being tucked up in his cot by AJ.”

“You’d think after the [Joe] Joyce / [Oleksandr] Usyk losses he’d be a bit more humble & respect the game more, but trying to force a deep rivalry with AJ isn’t the one.”

Dubois will make the maiden defence of his IBF heavyweight title against Joshua at Wembley on September 21.

A whopping 96,000 fans will pack out the home of English football for the huge domestic dust-up

He said: “AJ’s been the king for a long time and on the night, I need to become a king slayer.

“Ad that’s my goal, that’s the mission at hand.

“I’m learning more about myself as a fighter, as a person, coming out of the darkness and into the light, improving all around as a fighter and as an athlete.

“I’m up for this and ready to go.”

Anthony Joshua Set To Smash The Record That Prompted Tyson Fury To ‘Retire’

Anthony   Joshua and Tyson Fury have not yet met in the ring, much to the frustration of many fight fans.

The two celebrated British heavyweights have huge fights coming up later in the year, though not with each other

Joshua is aiming to become a three-time world champion by beating Daniel Dubois when the two meet on September 21 at Wembley Stadium in London.

‘AJ’ is on a good run of form having knocked out Robert Helenius, Otto Wallin and Francis Ngannou in his last three outings, while Dubois too has impressed by stopping both Fillip Hrgovic and Jarrell Miller.

Fury, who recently admitted his respect for Joshua, is looking to get revenge on Oleksandr Usyk who beat him in May for the undisputed world heavyweight title. It was Fury’s first loss in his professional career.

That contractual rematch led Usyk to vacate the IBF belt, meaning Dubois has been elevated and will defend against ‘AJ.’ Their fight is now set to break the attendance record for a boxing match at Wembley.

The record currently stands at 94,000 people which is how many attended when Fury fought and beat Dillian Whyte in 2022 to retain his WBC crown after fighting in the UK for the first time since 2018. Post-fight, Fury briefly entered retirement, saying he had achieved all there was to achieve in the sport of boxing“

What a welcome I had tonight in front of 94,000 of my fellow countrymen. What a night. I single-handedly sold out 94,000 tickets. I pat myself on the back for that“I promised my wife that would be it after the [Deontay] Wilder fight. But I got offered a fight at Wembley and I owed it to the fans. What a way to go out

Fury returned to the ring eight months later to defeat Derek Chisora at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Now, Riyadh Season’s Turki Alalshikh has successfully applied for the capacity to be increased. The stadium is set to welcome 96, 000 boxing fans. There are still tickets available for the event, backed up by a good undercard, starting from around £75.

Should Fury beat Usyk, and if Joshua comes through his fight with Dubois, many hope the two will come together at the start of next year for what would be an epic undisputed contest in front of another capacity crowd – perhaps record-breaking again.

‘This is what boxing needs’ – US fans rejoice as Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois PPV price is revealed

US fight fans are excited about finally getting a cheap pay-per-view boxing event.

According to PPV.com, fans in America can buy Anthony Joshua’s IBF heavyweight title fight against Daniel Dubois for just $19.99 on September 21

That’s a huge price cut. A week earlier on September 14, Canelo Alvarez vs Edgar Berlanga will cost fans $89.99 and UFC 306 will set ESPN+ subscribers back $69.99.

Boxing fans across the pond have become accustomed to extortionate PPV prices, and their delight was clear after learning about the bargain offer for Joshua vs Dubois.

One person tweeted: “I’m definitely gonna buy it now.”

Another said: “Wow! More than a fair deal and I bet the numbers will show ppl appreciate it.”

A third person commented: “A solid price might buy and not stream.”

Someone else wrote: “Wasn’t going to watch but for $20 bucks might as well.”

Lower-priced PPV events will become the norm if His Excellency Turki Alalshikh gets his way.

The chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority wants to to tackle illegal streaming and appease boxing fans around the world by reducing PPV prices.

“You mention the PPV, I think this is my next big fight and I want your advice also,” he told talkSPORT’s Jordan and White show on Monday morning.

“I dream of a PPV with a good price to make the fans happy and subscribe and get them to watch it legally.

“Usually when I see a high PPV, a lot of people go and watch the fight illegally and this is not healthy for boxing and the platform.

“What I will try to push is to have our Riyadh Season shows at less than £20 in England and less than $20 around the world…

“I would prefer to have one million fans subscribe and buy the PPV for £20 than less than 500,000 [for £40].

Alalshikh says his next big boxing event on October 12 will be even cheaper.

He added: “The card opening Riyadh Season in October [Beterbiev vs Bivol] I decide to sell it for £15 to the UK and $15 around the world.”

‘Can’t I Live?’ 7-Time Gold Medalist Simone Biles Isn’t Thinking About the 2028 Olympics ‘Can’t I Live?’

SEVEN-TIME OLYMPIC GOLD medalist Simone Biles, who collected four medals this year alone, isn’t making any immediate plans for the 2028 games. During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the gymnastics legend reflected on her recent success in Paris. She recognized that whether or not she’ll compete when the games come to Los Angeles is the burning question everyone wants answered — but right now, she’s looking ahead at her future outside of the gym

“Everybody wants to know this question. I’m like, ‘Can’t I live?’” Biles told Fallon, laughing. She has thought about it, but mostly just to the extent of how her age factors into her standing as a gymnast. “First, I’m getting older. 27 is a little bit old for a gymnast,” she said. “Outside of the gym, I’m young. Tequila, no hangover. But in the gym? I am old.” Biles joked that it would be easier if there was a way to tag team the competition by tapping someone else in halfway through on beam, vault, floor, and bar routines.

The Paris Olympics were, on their own, a major accomplishment for Biles. It marked something of a redemption tour for the athlete, who partially pulled out of the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 after experiencing “the twisties,” a disorienting condition that drastically throws off a gymnast’s rhythm, balance, and spatial awareness. “It meant everything, especially coming off of Tokyo. That wasn’t my best performance or how I planned for it to go,” she explained. “So to put the work in mentally and physically and to be back on a world stage, competing at an Olympic Games meant everything to me.”

Now that Biles has solidified herself as the greatest gymnast of all time — so much so that she wears a diamond-encrusted goat pendant on a chain around her neck — her focus is on preserving her legacy as such. “As long as I’m inspiring the next generation and having fun and just making sure that it’s not all about winning, but still putting a good foot forward even when it doesn’t go your way, I think that’s what I would want it to be,” she added.

I’m Ready ‘I’m a king slayer and I’ve got to do that again’: Daniel Dubois ready to take out Anthony Joshua

Daniel Dubois sits down for a face to face conversation with upcoming opponent Anthony Joshua, along with their respective promoters Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn, to talk about their upcoming IBF world title fight on September 21. Check out some excerpts of what the fighters had to say with the full video at the top.

Dubois on entering the prime of his career

“I was speaking about before, I was in a dark place and I was going through some stuff but I feel like I’ve been resurrected now. I’m in the light again and I’m ready to fight. He’s been the king for a while, he’s been the king for a long time in fact, but I feel like it’s my time and I’m a king slayer and I’ve got to do that again.”

Joshua on his matchup against Dubois

“All due respect, you don’t underestimate anyone but I do know boxing very well. All this stuff that we talk about, I study Daniel and I look at some of the things that he says, his characteristics, his boxing talent, his upbringing and so on — all of it’s irrelevant. Is he ready? Everything I tell you is irrelevant. He will see, September 21st.”

Joshua on the rumor of Dubois supposedly knocking him out in a past sparring session

“Everyone tries to underestimate me, using my name for clout and boost their career. But now Daniel’s got a chance to do it by fighting me. That’s the best way that he’ll prove himself, is by fighting me.”

Towards the end of the conversation things would get tense with Joshua taking offense to Dubois saying “If he wants to swing, let’s go now,” to which Joshua would ultimately get out of his seat and engage Dubois in some intimidation tactics.

All in the mind : Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois: Victory is all in the mind for the reigning IBF heavyweight world champion

Daniel Dubois will be meditating over, and visualising how, he plans to defeat Anthony Joshua when they meet at Wembley Stadium on September 21.

The IBF world heavyweight champion takes on the former unified king of the division in a blockbuster clash, live on Sky Sports Box Office, where the winner will be line to face the victor of the Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury rematch later this year.

“When I’m in training camp, I sharpen up my mind,” Dubois told Sky Sports. “I play out the fight over and over, and just meditation and just visualising.

“I do a lot of that, and the sparring helps. The camp atmosphere all helps as well.

“This fight sells itself, based off me and AJ and what we both bring – and what I bring especially.

“We’ll see as it goes on, but I’m going to be in camp, locked in and focused. I’ll have tunnel vision about getting that victory.”

September 21 will not be the first time Dubois and Joshua have shared a ring, with the duo having sparred together when the former was part of the Great Britain amateur squad.

There have been rumours Joshua was knocked down by his future opponent in one session, although the former champion has denied that.

Dubois insists he has no memories of those sessions either and even if he did, is adamant they would be of no relevance as he has come on so much as a boxer since then.

“Those spars were seven years ago, and I can’t remember a thing about them, to be honest,” Dubois said.

“I’m not here to spar him now, I’m here to fight him, so I’m thinking about that. I haven’t brought my headguard, that spar is in the past for me.

“At the time it was a great experience, but seven years on I’m a different fighter now with different experiences in the fight game.”

Daniel Dubois

Among those experiences are those big nights on boxing’s grand stages, such as stadium fights against Kevin Lerena and Usyk in Tottenham and Wroclaw respectively, not to mention the clashes with Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic in Saudi Arabia.

He has tussled for titles too, beating Trevor Bryan in Miami to claim the WBA regular heavyweight crown two years ago and then take the IBF interim crown, later upgraded to full world champion status, in the bout with Hrgovic.

“Especially Saudi,” Dubois said, reflecting on what he has learnt from those big nights. “It was an amazing journey and I feel like it has empowered me to move on from here and get this next W.

“To go out there and the way we got the [WBA regular belt] with Don King in Miami was just a dream – it was a trip, it was good.

“It’s back in London, fighting again – I’ve missed it. It’s going to be a great night to have that feel, that energy and that buzz in the city.”

Having now compiled a 21-2 (20) record as a professional and holding a world title, Dubois has little to fear when he takes on Joshua in front of 90,000 fans at Wembley.

But he is adamant he will be able to utilise any fear there is on the night rather than let it get to him.

“You can never let that happen,” Dubois said. “Even if you are scared you’ve got to act brave!

“For a fighter, if you don’t have a bit of fear then you’re crazy. But fear is good and it’s my friend when I’m in the ring.”

Has No Doubt Who Wins ? Former Anthony Joshua Trainer Robert Garcia Has No Doubt Who Wins AJ vs Tyson Fury

Coach Robert Garcia has looked forward to an all-British banger between former charge Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury

Garcia is a decorated coach who has worked with many world champions including Mikey Garcia, Nonito Donaire, Brandon Ríos and Marcos Maidana. He currently corners pound-for-pound star Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez.

Because of his many years of experience with talented fighters, he was brought in by Joshua after the Brit lost his first fight with Oleksandr Usyk in 2021 and was looking to correct mistakes and exact revenge in the rematch in 2022.

It didn’t work out like that and Joshua again lost on points over 12 rounds, despite a more competitive showing. He separated from Garcia and linked up with Derrick James.

After a couple of fights with James, Joshua hooked up with former Fury coach Ben Davison, who oversaw his last stoppage wins over Otto Wallin and Francis Ngannou and is now guiding him through camp ahead of his IBF world title shot with Daniel Dubois on September 21.

Should Joshua come through that, and if Fury wins his rematch with Usyk having lost their first fight for undisputed in May, the two British big men could come together in the ring next year.

Speaking to ESNEWS, Garcia was asked how he thinks his former fighter would fare against Fury should it happen, predicting a big finish.

“I think Joshua knocks him out.”

Although both winning would potentially set up an undisputed bout, Riyadh Season’s Turki Alalshikh has recently stated that he wants to make AJ-Fury regardless of ‘The Gypsy King’s result against Usyk in the rematch

plenty’ more fights for AJ before retirement Anthony Joshua’s boxing future takes major U-turn as Eddie Hearn says he now sees ‘plenty’ more fights for AJ before retirement

Eddie Hearn has changed his stance on Anthony Joshua’s future.

The Matchroom Boxing chief insisted earlier this year that AJ doesn’t have long left in the sport.

However, Hearn has made a major U-turn as Joshua gears up to face Daniel Dubois for the IBF heavyweight title on September 21.

Anthony Joshua himself gave an interview earlier this year in which he claimed he was entering his final couple of years in boxing – a position, Hearn had backed.

However, when asked how many fights the 34-year-old has left, Hearn told talkSPORT.com: “At the moment, plenty.

“Everything changes after every fight, but I think I’ve never seen him enjoy boxing so much.

“The preparation, the team. It’s simple but effective. I think he’s really found his rhythm with Ben [Davison] and the camp there.

“And I think if you look back after the Oleksandr Usyk fights you might have said, ‘How many more fights? Three? Five?’

“Well we’ve had four since then and now we’re saying five [more] still.
It’s always fight by fight.”

Providing Joshua comes out of his clash with Dubois unscathed, then HE Turki Alalshikh is targeting the long-awaited all-British showdown with Tyson Fury.

Joshua opens up as a 1/4 favourite to defeat ‘Triple D’ and become a three-time heavyweight champion.

“This is a very dangerous fight, but it’s a great fight,” he added.

“And as it gets closer I think people are starting to realise.

“People in boxing know what a great fight it is, but I think the general consensus is, ‘Oh, AJ’s a massive favourite.’

READ MORE : ‘He can’t hold it for a chance’ – Fans Predicts only one winner as Anthony Joshua…..

“I think he is a favourite, but if you look at people’s assessment within boxing.

“Obviously, they’re much more skewed towards it being a 50/50 than maybe the man on the street who doesn’t know a great deal about Dubois and the run that he’s on.

“I think they’re both in absolutely prime form but I do make Anthony the favourite in the fight.”

He recalled: “I never really had my eye on him, but I had Ambrose Mendy come onto me and say, ‘There’s this kid at GB.’

Devin Haney

“I spoke to the people at GB and they said he’s a really good young heavyweight.

“They phoned me up and said, ‘This is the deal that’s on offer from Queensberry, will you match it?’

“I said no because I’d hardly ever heard of him and it was a lot of money.

“That was when I first found out really and discussed Dubois at length.

“When I started out he looked really good and, I don’t kick myself, but I was like, ‘Oh, maybe he was worth the money.’

“Then obviously he got beat by Joe Joyce and it was like, ‘Wow, all that investment.’ But the bounce back has been really impressive.
