Mike Tyson set a number of records during his boxing career.
‘Iron Mike’ burst onto the scene as a youngster, winning his first 19 fights by knockout, 12 of them inside the very first round.
It led to him taking on Trevor Berbick for the WBC heavyweight title in November 1986, winning by second round knockout to become the youngest world heavyweight champion in history at the age of 20 years and 145 days.

Tyson went on to become the undisputed champion from 1987 to 1990, and is still regarded as one of the best heavyweights of all time.
In the present day, fighters such as Oleksandr Usyk, Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois have stood atop of the heavyweight division in recent years, but it is a young up-and-comer that many believe could be the heir to the throne.
That man is Moses Itauma, the 20-year-old sensation who currently holds an unbeaten record of 11-0, with nine of those wins by knockout. He was last in action in December when he knocked out Demsey McKean in the first round.
There had been some speculation that Itauma could look set to challenge for a world title this year in an attempt to break Tyson’s record of the youngest world champion in history, with the WBO title if that became vacant and the WBA Regular belt held by Kubrat Pulev both suggested as potential options.
Itauma had until May 19 to win a world title in order to earn the accolade, but it has now been reported by The Ring that he will next return to action on the Josh Taylor vs. Ekow Essuman card in Glasgow on May 24th, meaning he will run out of time and Tyson’s record will remain intact.
While Itauma won’t break the record, he’s still being tipped by some of boxing’s biggest names to be a major star in the division.
